Arrival in Aswan & Nile Cruise
Arrival & Transfer: Upon your arrival at Aswan Airport or Railway Station, our representative will transfer you to your Nile cruise , where you can relax and prepare for an unforgettable journey.
- Aswan High Dam: After checking in and having lunch on board, embark on an exciting tour of the Aswan High Dam. Completed in 1960, this monumental engineering project played a crucial role in controlling floods and generating electricity. It created Lake Nasser, a vast reservoir stretching across the landscape. However, the construction of the dam also led to the submergence of several archaeological sites.
- Philae Temple: Among the threatened temples was the Temple of Isis at Philae, built during the reign of Ptolemy II and dedicated to the gods Isis, Osiris, and Horus. The temple's walls are adorned with intricate scenes from Egyptian mythology, and additional structures were added by Emperor Hadrian. To save the temple from the rising waters of Lake Nasser, a remarkable rescue operation was carried out in the 1970s, involving the careful dismantling and relocation of the temple to Agilka Island. - Abu Simbel Temple Complex: Early morning departure to visit the majestic Abu Simbel Temples, one of Egypt's most significant archaeological sitesThe Temples of Abu Simbel are among the most remarkable achievements of ancient Egyptian architecture, distinguished by their unique design that captivates visitors. Carved into the rock during the reign of King Ramses II around 1200 B.C., the first temple is dedicated to the king himself, while the second temple honors his beloved wife, Queen Nefertari. The temples are adorned with exquisite carvings, detailed wall paintings, and impressive statues, offering a fascinating glimpse into Egypt's rich heritage. A visit to Abu Simbel guarantees an unforgettable experience, showcasing the grandeur of ancient Egyptian civilization.

Edfu Temple & Luxor East Bank

Edfu Temple: After breakfast, visit the second largest temple in Egypt dedicated to the falcon-headed god Horus. The temple is well-preserved and features a grand entrance, towering pylons, detailed hieroglyphic carvings, and massive columns. Its impressive structure showcases the architectural and artistic achievements of the Ptolemaic period, offering a captivating glimpse into ancient Egyptian religious practices and mythology. After the visit, enjoy a relaxing cruise passing through the Esna lock.

Arrive in Luxor by sunset

Luxor Temple: Explore the Luxor Temple on the East Bank, which reflects the blend of three major religions. The temple was originally dedicated to the god Amun-Ra and displays hieroglyphic inscriptions and religious scenes from the pharaonic era. After the rise of Christianity, the temple was converted into a church, with the rear part of the temple and some of its halls used for Christian worship. Some of the ancient inscriptions were covered, and Christian frescoes were added. During the Islamic period, when the temple was covered by sand, a part of it was converted into a mosque, and some of its old sections were used for hanging garments. The mosque incorporates elements of the ancient architecture and reflects the cultural and religious adaptation over the ages.

Day 4
Hot Air Balloon Ride & West Bank Exploration
Start your hot air balloon tour in the West Bank, where your guide will accompany you to the launch point. Upon arrival at the launch site, you will gently ascend into the sky. Enjoy the tranquility and beauty of the sunrise over the East Bank, with stunning views of Luxor City and the surrounding mountains. You will notice the majestic Colossi of Memnon rising from the fields, and if the winds allow, you may soar over the Ramesseum Temple for a breathtaking aerial view. In the distance, the Valley of the Queens rests peacefully among the mountains. A support vehicle and landing crew will follow you throughout the journey and will be there to greet you upon landing. The hot air balloon ride will last approximately 30 to 45 minutes, followed by a visit to the Colossi of Memnon.

The Colossi of Memnon, depicting King Amenhotep III, are major attractions on the West Bank of the Nile. Each statue stands 18 meters tall and weighs up to 1000 tons, making them a key point of interest for visitors. Carved from single blocks of stone, these statues once guarded Amenhotep III’s temple, which is still being excavated today.
Temple of Hatshepsut

Valley of the Kings
The Valley of the Kings is a major burial site with 64 tombs, including those of Tutankhamun, Yuya, and Thuya. The site is divided into the East Valley, known for its numerous tombs and tourist visits, and the less explored West Valley, which contains only two tombs. Chosen for its natural defenses and proximity to the Theban temples, recent discoveries like the new KV 65 tomb continue to reveal more about this ancient necropolis. Mummification, which involves removing internal organs, drying the body with natron, and wrapping it in linen, was crucial for the deceased's journey to the afterlife, with ongoing conservation efforts to preserve this historic site.
